Global Design Innovation
ME310 is a Masters-level capstone design engineering course at Stanford University. Students work as teams and follow an iterative, entrepreneurial model to create working solutions to real-world challenges from industry. It is taught concurrently at several prominent universities worldwide, and students are given the opportunity to collaborate across campuses. I have been affiliated with this course for several years, most recently in a teaching, research and coaching capacity.
2007: Student – Designed the “Audi Assist” smart handbook system and implemented a functional prototype in an Audi Q7 test vehicle. Stanford University.
2008: Course Assistant – Coached teams, managed project budgets, gave lectures and developed curriculum. Stanford University.
2009: Visiting Lecturer – Established local curricula and developed lecture content, managed industry partnerships, gave lectures and coached teams through the complete design and implementation process. Aalto University (Finland).
2010-2012: Lecturer, Researcher & Coach – Gave lectures, observed and coached teams in action. Modeled ME310 team cognition and how it impacts dynamics and performance. Stanford University.
2013: ME310 Global Executive Director – Participated in curriculum development, teaching, planning and coordination with global partner universities. Stanford University.
2014 – Present: Guest Lecturer & Coach. Stanford University.
